Why Therapy Can Help You

  1. "You Deserve Support."
Life can be overwhelming at times, and everyone deserves a safe space to be heard and supported. Therapy isn’t about being broken or weak—it’s about prioritizing your well-being and giving yourself the care you need.

  2. "You Don’t Have to Do It Alone."
Many people feel they should handle their struggles by themselves, but it’s okay to seek help. A therapist is like a guide who helps you navigate challenges, offering tools and perspectives you might not discover on your own.

  3. "Therapy Is for Everyone."
You don’t need a crisis or a diagnosis to benefit from therapy. It’s a space to work on your goals, understand yourself better, and build a life that feels more fulfilling.

  4. "Small Changes Lead to Big Results."
Even if things feel manageable now, therapy can help you address small issues before they become overwhelming. Sometimes just talking things out can lead to clarity and meaningful change.

  5. "It’s an Investment in You."
Taking time for therapy is an investment in your mental and emotional health, just like exercising is for your physical health. The insights and tools you gain can benefit every aspect of your life.

  6. "Therapy Is What You Make It."
You don’t have to spill your deepest secrets or dive into painful memories right away. Therapy goes at your pace and focuses on what you want to work on—whether that’s managing stress, improving relationships, or finding direction in life.

  7. "It’s More Accessible Than You Think."
Therapy doesn’t have to disrupt your life. With options like online sessions and flexible scheduling, it’s easier than ever to fit therapy into your routine.

  8. "You’ve Already Taken the First Step."
If you’re considering therapy, you’re already showing courage and self-awareness. Reaching out is the next step toward creating a life that feels lighter, clearer, and more in control.

Addressing Common Concerns

  • “I’m nervous about starting.”
That’s completely normal. Starting anything new can feel scary, but therapy is about meeting you where you are. You don’t have to have it all figured out—that’s why we’re here.

  • “What if it doesn’t work?”
Therapy is a process, and it may take time to see results. But every session brings you closer to understanding yourself and creating the change you want. And if one approach doesn’t work, we’ll explore others.

  • “I don’t even know where to start.”
That’s okay! Part of therapy is figuring that out together. You don’t need to have all the answers before you begin—just a willingness to show up and explore.

Each clinician has a unique fee based on their training, experience and specialities. You can learn more about each clinician’s fee here. Payment is due at the time of service. If you’re unsure of where to begin contact us today and we can schedule a free 15 minute initial phone consultation to see how we can be help you.

  • Do you take insurance?

We are out-of-network providers. This means we do not bill directly through insurance but your clinician can provide you with a monthly Superbill for services rendered which you submit to your insurance provider for potential reimbursement. Reimbursement for out-of-network benefits is solely dependent on your specific insurance carrier and plan. We do not communicate with insurance so please be sure to reach out to your insurance provider directly for any questions you may have about your specific coverage.

We recommend calling your insurance provider and asking the following questions:

-Does my plan include out of network benefits? If yes, how much is covered?

-Do I have an out of network deductible? If so, what is it and have I met it yet?

-Does my plan limit the number of sessions per calendar year I am covered for?

Keep in mind that all insurance companies will require a mental health diagnosis in order to process your claim.

  • What is your cancellation policy?

Celynna upholds a 48 hour cancellation policy. If you must cancel or reschedule your session, we ask that you give her at least 48 hours notice otherwise you will be held responsible for the fee of your session. All sessions must be rescheduled or cancelled through your client portal. Phone calls, texts or emails are not an accepted form of cancellation. Please be aware that insurance does not cover late cancellations or missed sessions.

Associate clinician’s at Beachy Feels Therapy may uphold a different cancellation policy that they will go over with you during your first session.

  • How long are sessions and how often do we meet?

Sessions are typically 50 minutes long on a weekly basis. There are times when we may meet more or less frequently depending on your needs.

  • Do you offer Telehealth or online sessions?

Yes. Beachy Feel Therapy currently offers video sessions to residents of California via a secure HIPPA compliant platform.

  • Do you offer therapy for children or teens?

Yes! The clinicians at Beachy Feels Therapy love working with adolescents/ teens. We work with any adolescent above the age of 13. If you are looking for a therapist for a child who is younger than 13 please contact us as we may be able to help you via parenting support or refer your to a local therapist who works with children.

Each teen therapist has their own specialty so we are confident that we can find someone to help you and your teen. You can learn more about teen therapy here.

  • I want my teen to start therapy. How does that work?

If you are bringing your adolescent in for therapy, your therapist may request an initial parent session to allow the parents and the therapist time to gather information and discuss goals for the teen’s therapy. Depending on the age of your child and the situation, we may decide that the therapist continue to meet with just your child or we may decide that a combination of individual sessions with your child and family therapy is better suited for your goals. Depending on the needs and situation, parent sessions may be scheduled periodically to touch base on your concerns regarding your child.

  • Where is your office?

The Beachy Feels Therapy office is located at 235 Avenida Del Norte Suite B Redondo Beach, CA 90277 in the Riviera Village. We are located on the second story of the back building. If you are lost or are having trouble finding the office please contact your therapist.

  • How do I schedule a consultation or appointment?

You can request an appointment or consultation with any of our therapists by booking online here. That way you can schedule quickly and at a time that works for you. Once you’ve submitted the request you will receive confirmation of your consultation or appointment via email. You can also fill out this form and we will get back to you. We can be reached via email at therapywithcelynna@gmail.com or via phone call or text at (424) 262-3650.

  • What happens during the consultation call?

The 15 minute consultation call is our opportunity to get a feel for whether or not we think we might be a good fit. Depending on your therapist, they may send you a brief questionnaire prior to your call to help them get a sense of what you’re hoping to get out of therapy. We will ask some follow up questions and encourage you to ask any questions you may have about how we work, our background/experience or any general therapy related questions. At the end of the call we may schedule our first appointment or we may provide you with referrals depending on your needs.

  • How do I find the right therapist?

Your relationship with your therapist is such a unique experience. The most important thing is that you feel comfortable and safe with your therapist. If you’re feeling judged, uncertain or if you aren’t sure if you’re getting anywhere in therapy then please tell you’re therapist how you are feeling! We love honesty from our clients and it may be something the two of you can work through. Otherwise, they would be happy to offer you referrals to someone who may be a better fit for you.

  • How long will I be in therapy for?

The length of your treatment depends on your individual goals and commitment to your progress. Sometimes we see clients for a specific issue and we meet for a couple of months. Other times we see clients for over a year because they have decided that while they met their original goals, they enjoy the insight and confidence they gather from the deeper more long term work. At the end of the day, it’s totally up to you.

  • What are your hours?

Staff therapists have their own individual schedules and hours. You can find out more about their availability by either contacting them directly here or book online with them here.

As a new mom, Celynna has more limited availability. She typically sees clients on Tuesdays at the office from 10am-5pm or Thursdays online from 10am-5pm. Schedule an appointment with her here.
